Like many “hometown newspapers,” the Santa Cruz Sentinel is owned by a corporation, sucks, and is not even located in Santa Cruz! It’s located in Scotts Valley. Where is it published? Why is it a “local” newspaper? And why is it advertising real estate on the frontpage of it’s website? And why is it’s webdesign so bad and old? And why oh why are these newspapers allowed to be bolted to the public sidewalks downtown?
